Release what weighs you down.
Reconnect with your authentic Self

Counselling & Psychotherapy

East Coast Tasmania  ·   Online across Australia

At Wildwood Counselling & Psychotherapy, I take a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and non-pathologising approach to doing therapy.

My way of working is highly relational, drawing on somatic awareness and parts-work, while prioritising a genuine connection that honours the whole of who you are.

Wildwood is a place to....

  • feel genuinely seen and met

  • explore your inner world, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself

  • discover insights to help you navigate life's complexities with more clarity

  • release stuck emotions, shift unhelpful beliefs, and address lifelong patterns that are no longer serving you

  • build self-trust, self-compassion, and a strong sense of self-leadership

  • enhance your well-being and move toward a life that feels more authentically yours

Meet Your Therapist

Hi!

I'm Hollie (she/her) - a registered counsellor, trainer, and former educator with over 12 years of experience in mental health and community support. I specialise in supporting neurodivergent individuals, couples, and relationships of all kinds.

I believe that good therapy is collaborative and human-to-human. I don't do 'fixing' - I offer a space for reflection, growth, and building self-trust that leads to lasting change.

What you get from me is compassion, curiosity, and zero judgement. Come as you are. You don't need to mask, edit, or explain the way your brain works. I work with people who have often felt misunderstood by traditional systems and who are seeking a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity, safety, and respect.

How I Work

More than any single therapeutic modality or technique, it's connection that heals. Feeling safe, seen, and truly understood is one of the most powerful catalysts for change there is - so my work begins with empathetic attunement and a deep investment in creating the conditions for a safe, steady, relationship to grow.

From there, I primarily draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), a gentle, evidence-based approach grounded in a simple but radical idea - that all of us are made up of many different parts (a critic, a perfectionist, a part that avoids or shuts down). IFS views this as natural, normal, and necessary. We would not be able to navigate the world without their help.

As we get to know and befriend these aspects of ourselves, and meet them with curiosity and compassion instead of judgement or resistance, the burdens of responsibility they've carried can begin to ease, and our embodied Self can step forward, creating a spacious and more peaceful inner-world.

This framework sits within a broader, more integrative way of working  - one grounded in the understanding that we are not living in our bodies; we are our bodies. Because of this, part of my work is helping you turn gentle attention toward the feelings and sensations in your body, as they arise. Our bodies carry a wisdom of their own, and there is much to learn when we slow down and listen.

This type of work acknowledges that the physical, and the metaphysical, exist as one. And just as the body instinctively knows how to heal a physical wound, we carry that same innate wisdom toward inner-healing. Given the conditions of safety and connection in the body, the spirit, the soul, the heart, the mind.....all parts of us can begin to transform.

Every step of the way, my hope is to create space for your unique experience to unfold and your perspectives to expand. It's a way of working that honours the stories you carry and create, and supports you to live in a way that feels intentional, values-aligned, and with greater inner harmony.
